About
What label-only actually means.
A field guide for the supplement aisle, set in a newsroom.
PureWatcher reviews protein powder and collagen supplements based only on the ingredients a brand chooses to print on the label. We don't run lab tests. We don't collect blood panels. We don't tell you whether a supplement will work for you. We tell you what's on the label, and we link to neutral public studies for every flagged ingredient.
The stance is narrow on purpose. The supplement market runs on marketing claims that outpace evidence. A simple, publicly-auditable rubric — green for clean, yellow for watch, red for flagged — gives shoppers a trust verdict in the forty seconds they actually have, standing in a store aisle with a phone in hand.
Sponsors support the site but don't influence ratings. We publish unflattering takes on sponsored products when the label warrants it. That's set in writing before any money changes hands.
